InventIt Privacy Policy

        TL;DR: InventIt stores all your data locally on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or share any of your information. Your inventory, photos, and personal data never leave your device.
    

1. Information We Collect

None. InventIt does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. All data you create in the app (including inventory items, photos, notes, and barcodes) is stored exclusively on your local device.

2. How We Use Your Information

Since we don't collect any information, we don't use, share, or process your data in any way. Your inventory data is stored in a local database on your device and is never transmitted over the internet.

3. Data Storage

All data created in InventIt is stored locally on your device using:

Local SQLite Database: Stores item names, rooms, locations, and barcodes
Local File System: Stores photos you take or select from your gallery

This data remains on your device until you choose to delete it or uninstall the app.

4. Permissions We Request

InventIt requests the following device permissions:

Camera: To take photos of your inventory items and scan barcodes
Photo Library: To select existing photos from your device
Storage: To save photos and export data (PDF/CSV) to your device

These permissions are used solely for app functionality and do not transmit any data externally.

5. Third-Party Services

InventIt does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app operates entirely offline.

6. Data Security

Your data is as secure as your device. We recommend:

Using device encryption (enabled by default on modern iOS/Android)
Setting a strong device passcode
Regularly backing up your device to avoid data loss

7. Data Deletion

To delete your data:

Delete individual items: Use the delete button within the app
Delete all data: Uninstall the app from your device

Once deleted, data cannot be recovered unless you have a device backup.

8. Children's Privacy

InventIt does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
