Privacy Policy — Littlefoot

The short version: Littlefoot stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or baby data. Everything stays on your phone.

1. Introduction

Littlefoot ("we", "our", or "the app") is a baby activity tracking application developed by Ritesh. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Littlefoot app on your iOS device.

By using Littlefoot, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Littlefoot collects only the information you enter directly into the app, including:

Your name and email address (used for local account creation)
Baby's name, date of birth, and profile details
Activity logs such as feeding, sleep, diaper changes, pumping, growth measurements, bath times, activities, and milestones
Notification preferences and reminder settings

        All of this information is stored exclusively on your device using local device storage. It is never transmitted to any server or third party.
      

3. How We Use Your Information

The information you enter is used solely to:

Display your baby's activity history and statistics within the app
Send local push notifications for feeding and sleep reminders (these are scheduled on-device and do not involve any external servers)
Authenticate your local account on the device

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite (via Expo SQLite) and your device's secure keychain (via Expo SecureStore). Your password is stored as a cryptographic hash — it is never stored in plain text.

Since all data lives on your device, it is protected by your device's own security features including Face ID, Touch ID, and passcode protection.

        We have no access to your data. We cannot read it, recover it, or delete it remotely.
      

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information or your baby's data with any third parties. We do not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools within the app.

6. Push Notifications

Littlefoot may request permission to send local push notifications to remind you about feeding and sleep schedules. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers or third-party notification services.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings → Notifications → Littlefoot.

7. Children's Privacy

Littlefoot is designed to be used by parents and caregivers to track infant and child data. The app does not collect data directly from children. All data is entered by the adult caregiver using the app.

We comply with applicable laws regarding children's privacy, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and PIPEDA (Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you use the app. You can delete all data at any time by:

Deleting the Littlefoot app from your device (this removes all locally stored data)
Using the account deletion option within the app's Settings screen

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
