InventIt Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using InventIt ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

InventIt is a mobile application designed to help users catalog and organize their personal belongings. The App allows you to:

Create an inventory of items with photos, names, locations, and barcodes
Search and filter your inventory
Export your inventory data to PDF or CSV formats

All data is stored locally on your device. InventIt does not provide cloud storage or syncing services.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your device
Backing up your device to prevent data loss
Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws
The accuracy of information you enter into the App

4. Data and Privacy

All data you create in InventIt is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, access, or transmit your data. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by InventIt and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

Copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the App
Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
Use the App's name or branding without permission

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
Defects will be corrected
The App will meet your specific requirements
Data stored locally will not be lost due to device failure

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InventIt and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including:

Loss of data due to device failure or user error
Inability to recover inventory information
Damages arising from use or inability to use the App

Important: Always maintain backups of your device. We are not responsible for data loss.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InventIt and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

Modify or discontinue the App at any time
Update features or functionality
Change pricing (for paid versions)

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes through app updates.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. These Terms will remain in effect until terminated.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
